Plantar Fasciitis / Heel Pain / Bone Spurs

Plantar fasciitis pain occurs when the plantar fascia, a thick fibrous band on the bottom of the foot pulls away from the heel bone causing inflammation and pain.

Bunions

A bunion is an enlargement of the big toe joint, usually accompanied by pain and swelling at that joint and deviation of the big toe. Treatment may include orthotics therapy to address the cause of the deformity to surgical correction by minimal invasive surgery.

Hammer Toes / Contracted Toes

Hammer toes can often result from ill-fitting shoes, heredity or trauma. Treatments range from accommodative shoes to palliative care and may require surgical correction to straighten the toe.

Ingrown Toenails

A painful condition occurring when nails grow into your flesh rather than over it. This problem can be corrected by a simple office procedure.

Corns and Calluses

Caused by ongoing pressure points on your feet, corns and calluses are an overgrowth of skin. After an examination, Cary Collis treats your feet with palliative care or surgical correction.

Neuroma

A painful condition caused by a pinched or swollen nerve, most commonly occurring between the third and fourth toes, caused by malalignment of the foot.

Fungal Nail

Fungal nail is an infection that results in nails that are discoloured, thickening or detaching. Fungal nail should be treated with medication prescribed by a podiatrist to prevent more serious conditions.

Foot Trauma

Injury can be evaluated in the office by x-rays and treated with any therapeutics required.

Diabetic Foot Care

Diabetic patients require special care to prevent foot problems from progressing into more serious problems. Routine visits to a podiatrist is extremely important to these patients.

General Podiatry Care

As people get older the simple task of cutting toe nails can become difficult and this can lead to serious problems. Routine visits to a podiatrist are encouraged.

Children's Foot Care

Children at a very young age may suffer from flat feet, in-toeing and out-toeing gait patterns, heel pain and excess fatigue. Early treatment can prevent problems as an adult.
